This page explains, in plain language, what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 and the rules for marketing emails in the Spam Act 2003.

Who we are and how to contact us

We are the Group of Nagarsheth Association of WA, a not for profit community music group in Perth, Western Australia. For anything about your details, email info.gonawa@gmail.com or call Vipul on 0450 685 499.

What we collect

We collect your name and email address when you sign up for updates on this site, or when you buy tickets to our events through Humanitix. From Humanitix we receive your name, email, the tickets you bought, and whether you ticked the box to hear about future events. We only hold a phone number if you give it to us.

How we use it

We use your details to send ticket information for an event you booked and to answer your questions. Only if you opted in, we also use them to tell you about our future events, a few emails a year.

Marketing emails only with consent

We email event news only to people who ticked the opt in box at checkout, or who signed up on this site and clicked the confirmation link we sent (double opt in). We never buy, rent or share lists.

Unsubscribe

Every email has an unsubscribe link in the footer and a one click unsubscribe header, so your email app can unsubscribe you directly. You can also reply to the email or write to info.gonawa@gmail.com. We act on it within 5 business days, as the Spam Act requires, and we never add you back. Addresses that bounce are removed automatically.

Where your details are stored

Our mailing list runs on software we host ourselves on Amazon Web Services in Sydney, Australia (lists.gonawa.com), and our emails are sent through Amazon SES. Ticketing is handled by Humanitix under their own privacy policy. We do not sell data.

Website analytics

This site uses Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to understand how people find our event pages and to measure our ads. These set cookies. You can block them in your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we run events, so we can tell past guests about the next one if they opted in. Email us to see, correct or delete your details and we will do it.

If we change how we handle your details, we will update this page. Last updated 6 October 2026.
